Dr. John Hanson is a board-certified High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD-ABB) with more than two decades of experience in genomics, molecular diagnostics, and clinical laboratory leadership. As Medical Director for US Biosciences, he provides medical oversight for the laboratory's advanced molecular testing programs, helping ensure the highest standards of scientific quality, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hanson has worked with numerous clinical laboratories across the United States, guiding organizations through laboratory development, regulatory compliance, quality systems, and operational excellence. His expertise includes molecular diagnostics, next-generation sequencing (NGS), laboratory-developed tests (LDTs), CLIA compliance, CAP readiness, and high-complexity laboratory operations.
In addition to serving as Medical Director for US Biosciences, Dr. Hanson is Vice President of Customer Success at BlackHawk Genomics, where he assists laboratories in implementing advanced genomic technologies and navigating evolving regulatory requirements. He is widely recognized for translating complex scientific and regulatory concepts into practical guidance for laboratory professionals and healthcare organizations.
